In the late afternoon of the week beginning, Amazon directors, Roy Price, Morgan Wandell and Joe Lewis took questions on the new show and its changes at a press event in LA.

One member of the panel was reluctant to discuss the controversial behavior shown by Clarkson that makes Top Gear as popular as it is. . A question asked was if there would be any rules or boundaries on Clarkson’s language and attitude throughout the new show.

Undoubtedly Top Gear was a highly entertaining and comical show. But what made it so well known? It was Clarkson’s controversies.

Examples of these were Clarkson calling an Asian man a “slope”, saying a toilet in a car boot was “perfect for India because everyone who comes here gets the trots” and calling Mexicans “lazy” and “feckless”.

Will the new series on Amazon live up to BBC’s Top Gear or will the new boundaries make a flop of the new program. The first release of the new show’s first series will be available world-wide in 2016.
Let’s wait and see.
